Whitehall sits in the heart of the Deerlodge National Forest shadowed by the Tobacco Root and Highland Mountain ranges.

Whitehall began as a rail depot created by the Northern Pacific and Montana Railroad on September 25, 1889. It was named by E.G. Brooke, who had stayed at an Illinois town by the same name on his trip westward. On September 3, 1890, the Jefferson County Commissioners accepted the name and filed the Townsite of Whitehall.

More recently Rob "Robbie" Johnson played Little League in Whitehall. He went on to become an American former Major League Baseball catcher and pitcher who played for the Seattle Mariners, San Diego Padres, New York Mets, and St. Louis Cardinals from 2007 to 2013.

Whitehall is also known for the Lewis and Clark Caverns State Park, Jefferson River, Ringing Rocks, and the Jefferson Valley Museum.

Perfect Home Finder

Today, many local real estate sites provide you with comprehensive searches of publicly listed properties from one or more Multiple Listing Services. Therefore, instead of reinventing the same wheel, we are utilizing Homes.com for the local listings and actually belong to a nationwide MLS.

It's important to note that many homes are sold before they officially hit the market. With our exclusive Perfect Home Finder Program, you can access unlisted and pre-market homes tailored to your specific needs in your desired locations. We uncover off-market properties that no one else is aware of, much like savvy investors do. This unique service is proprietary, so reach out to West Montana Homes to simplify your home search.
